He puts up with me.

I bought a new lens last week and I thought what better subject to try it out on than my brother, right? I pretty much fell in love with this lens. It makes my heart so happy and I can't wait to use it more and more!

I love my brother too. I think he loves me. Not quite sure by the look on his face here but I'm gonna chalk that up to a camera pointed in his direction and not so much a feeling toward his baby sister specifically.

Really?


The inevitable eye roll. It's ok, go ahead and pull your eyes down from the sky.


Good. Now pose. Because he might as well make the most of this camera and apparently I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.


The smile. We won't get into the smile. Suffice it to say, it gets him what he wants and always has :)


And the classic. Open you eyes! This has been a problem for awhile and the reason I take multiple pictures of him at a time.


And finally a plea to whoever is standing close by to get his sister away from him.


He may put up with me, but I think he secretly likes it. Don't you, bro? Okay, okay...

John & Courtnie: Day After

They weren't married yesterday, but they wanted to dust off the gown and tux and capture some pictures in a relaxed atmosphere without the stress of the wedding day on top of them. It was perfect! I met them out at Tarp Chapel and Gardens for a 'Day After' session. I SO wish I had done something like this when I got married. They were relaxed with no real time constraints and without a million bajillion things to worry about and decisions to make. It was just the two of them enjoying each other like it was their first time alone as husband and wife. And I was there to capture it.

The sun was sinking slowly casting a warm glow over the chapel. Courtnie was bathed in the beauty of the sunlight and John couldn't get enough of her. But what would you expect, she looked AMAZING in that dress. Here are some of my favorites...













She worked it like nobody's business!

Kris & Jenn: Maternity

One of the things I like most about doing photo shoots is getting to meet new people and capturing a moment in their life for them. But I must say there is something really special about getting the opportunity to photograph your dear friends and such is the case with Kris & Jenn. I've known Kris since I was 10 years old and when he started dating Jenn, we instantly hit it off.

Kris makes me laugh. Hard. And you can just count me as gone if he busts out the high kick. I think that is seriously one of my favorite things. And Jenn, well we share a mutual love for pepsi coolies, the card game Nertz and baby talkin' our puppies. I'm thankful to have these people in my life and count them as lifelong friends. And now with a little one on the way there is only more love to go around. So here we go, Baby Ryan Elizabeth's first photo shoot...

Braiden, Logan & Abbi: Portraits

Spur of the moment photo shoots for the kids of a friend from high school you haven't seen in years might be the coolest thing ever! Carla called on her way to Tulsa to take the kids to the Aquarium. I met her after they had swam with the sharks (well, not really but it does seem like that because the Aquarium is that awesome!). We picked up right where we left off like what, 11 years ago?! Crazy.

Carla was 2 years younger than me, but we were instant friends playing volleyball together. She would ride with me and 'supposedly' I would subject her to the Grease soundtrack on a regular basis. We also frequented Sonic and even played sand volleyball together in the summer. Always a smile on her face, I've loved this girl for a LONG time.

So meet Carla's kids - Braiden, Logan and Abbi. I'm pretty sure I'm in love with them now too :)













You can't have this girl. I got first dibs!
