Thankful.
These two ladies are working hard in the kitchen today to make tomorrow's time together one we will never forget. And for that I'm thankful.

Happy.
It's the way they look at you.

Questioning.

Wondering.

Maybe paranoid.

Definitely skeptical.

It's the way they act like you're not even there.

But thinking you might make a good playmate.

It's totally the ears.

And always the nose.

Cows get me every time. This time I just happened to stop and enjoy them for a bit. Hope you did too!

Standing still.
For me, polaroids conjure up ideas of days gone by. Their nostalgic feel makes you want to embrace the future without letting go of the past. They capture color in a way that makes me sigh deeply and smile softly. And what better place to have the feel of time standing still than a field full of cars dating before 1965.
It was the color.

And the character.

And the fabulous people.

Kari & Mike: Engagement
It was an overcast day. And a tiny bit windy. And perfect. Perfect because Kari and Mike had fun. They laughed with ease at each other and with each other. They were comfortable being close and sharing secrets. And I know they have a lifetime of smiles and love ahead of them. It truly was an honor to be a part of documenting this exciting time in their lives. Meet my new friends...

I love that you can tell how much they thoroughly enjoy one another.

They had so much fun together! It was a blast to watch them interact.

At Skiatook Lake.

Kari, you are HOT. I love this image.

Thank you both for a fabulous time!

Sneak Peek Sunday!
I'll be blogging this AMAZING engagement session later today but couldn't help but share this image with you right now. They rocked. And I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding next June!

And now I'm off to do two shoots this afternoon. Yay for beautiful weather in November! Pin It

Pistons and Paint 2009
I went to my very first car show. And this is what I saw. Now, I don't know that much about cars but I'm learning. And I have a good teacher. This guy knows everything.

One of my favorite cars of the show. '59 El Camino. Beautiful.

Tracy's '59 Biscayne.

The Tulsa boys.

Mikey's '53 Ford.

Pops '39 Chevy.

All the others. I was drawn to color, lines and texture.

Loved this old truck with the wood bed.

Love, love, loved this car.

We did lots of people watching too...

But these characters were my super faves...

PS - I can see how this car thing can be addictive.
PPS - You might have noticed the images are bigger. Yay! I figured some new things out and I'm super excited. They should work but if for some reason you can't see the whole image or something weird like that then leave me a comment so I know.
PPPS - I have some polaroids from this day too that I'm excited to share. I love my polaroid camera.
