This past month I:
-collaborated on a photo scavenger hunt
-read an Amish book
-ate birthday cupcakes
-bowled several strikes
-discovered Barnsdall, Oklahoma
-picnicked
-drove north on 75
-and to Kansas
-beat the boys at cards
-busted out the Polaroid camera
-did NOT get a parking ticket (this is huge!)
-pretended I was a cloud
-painted my nails blue
-watched the entire series of Friday Night Lights
-got hooked on Revenge (the show, not the act)
-and took all of these pictures

Tell me more about this Amish book you read. I read a ton of Amish fiction last year and now I'm so fascinated with their lifestyle.
Carrisa - My friend picked it for our book club. It was Amish fiction - the Rose trilogy by Beverly Lewis. I didn't think it was amazing but it had the same effect you just described in that I became fascinated with their culture.
I read the Sisters Of The Quilt trilogy by Cindy Woodsmall. It was the gateway book for me. I think I read six more after that. It's what prompted me to start checking out books from the library again. And now I've admitted I'm a total nerd.
